As a first-year Innovation Design Engineering student, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team comprising individuals from backgrounds in textiles, sculpture, interior design, and industrial design. This cross-disciplinary mix brought together varied perspectives, enriching our creative process. Our project, Caring Knot, questions the notion of care—not through action, but through inaction, zoning out, and experimenting with sound and comfort. We sought to explore how care could be understood beyond the conventional, looking at the value of passive states, sensory engagement, and the interplay of sound with human perception.
